Princess Adelheid (アーデルハイド Āderuhaido) or Chocolate Parfait (チョコレートパフェChokorēto Pafe) is the young princess of the Great Empire.

Adelheid is the young princess of the Great Empire located in the Eastern Continent, who is also named after her great-grandmother.
She is often sent to her grandfather's country estate for her health under the request of her parents, since she is suffering from an unspecified but curable disease known as the "Pauper Killer disease", which is the equivalent to asthma. Her late grandfather, Wilhelm, took her to Nekoya during one of her visits as a young child, during which she came to enjoy the master's chocolate parfait, making her another regular.
Over her visits to Restaurant Nekoya, Adelheid has become close with everyone there. But her three closest friends are the Dutchy sorceress, Victoria Samanark (Pudding Ala mode), Land of Sand Prince Shareef (coffee float) and his sister Renner (Melon soda Float).
She later becomes the wife of Shareef when he proposed to her.
Appearance[]
Adelheid is a beautiful young woman with hip length, light gray hair and azure blue eyes. She is usually seen wearing a long, off the shoulder red gown.
Trivia[]
- It's implied her disease is simply asthma, which is very much manageable in Nekoya's world.
- While her favorite dish is Chocolate Parfait, she seems to prefer the whipped cream more, as it leave a lasting impression of her childhood (something she referred to as eating 'cloud'). She would also take fruit sandwich filled with whipped cream to go occasionally. This is also her criteria when she looked for a dessert to take home and enjoy with coffee, 'something with plenty of whipped cream'. Choux à la Crème (Cream puffs) was recommended by Victoria for this.
- While the anime immediately show Shareef proposing to Adelheid after seemingly preparing to do so in a long time. The manga shows their relationship before the proposal.
- In the manga, her relationship with Shareef started to sparks after Renner suggested to taste test each other's favorite menu. Adelheid loved both Melon Soda and Coffee Float. Then, right after tasting Coffee Float, she offered a scoop of her Parfait's whipped cream drizzled with chocolate sauce to Shareef, who later commented how the bitter and sweet taste combines is just like Coffee Float, something Adelheid agreed. And later she asked Shareef to have a tea with her (a kind of asking him out).
- However, the manga doesn't show their relationship after that.
- Her only real friends are the regulars at Nekoya, the only place she can have social interactions without her status getting in the way.
- She introduced her acquaintance the Demon Queen to coffee parfait.
- In the episode when Adelheid was introduced early on with her childhood, it was mentioned that her mother Empress and wife of Emperor Wolfgang was pregnant, but nothing more after that.
